We have been working hard during the off season to implement new programs to benefit our members as well as our member clubs, and we will not be raising member dues for 2010. To be eligible for membership with the DWGA you must have handicap at a DWGA member club. Please view our Member Clubs page for a list of member clubs.

We will again be offering the DWGA Pro Shop Discount Program! As a member of the DWGA you will receive a Discount Book, which contains discounts for merchandise at DWGA member clubs. The “coupons” will state which clubs and for what amounts. This is a great opportunity to purchase items and merchandise for a discount at our clubs! The book is only available to DWGA members!

The DWGA and the Delaware State Golf Association are again running Frozen Friday’s; we have an event scheduled every Friday through the end of March. Frozen Friday’s allow you the opportunity to play area courses at a discounted rate, and win prizes. This program is open to men and women, and non-members. Click here to view the schedule.

The DWGA Open Days program will begin in April. Open Days extend the courtesy of play without green fees to members of the DWGA. Cart fees are mandatory, and pre-arranged starting times are required. Reservations will only be accepted within one week of the scheduled Day. Participants can register by calling the Pro Shop. Privileges will only be extended to DWGA members of clubs participating in the program. If a member’s club does not offer Open Days, that member is not entitled to participate. Membership cards must be shown upon arrival, and are not transferable.

Some other benefits included with membership are Online Score Posting through www.dwga.org; all members with a handicap in Delaware can register for this convenience. Through your Online Score Posting account you will be able to register for DWGA tournaments online! This is a more convenient way to register for events, and your entry will be received sooner than if you mailed it in, which will help you avoid the waiting list for some of our more popular events.

We will be enhancing our website, www.DWGA.org, to better serve you. Our goal is to be able to provide our membership with a more comprehensive and knowledgeable site, with features such as member club specials, Golf Tips and weekly rules questions. We encourage any support and feed back you may have.
