Individual membership consist of women, at least 18 years of age, who are members of DWGA member clubs and who have registered as a member of the DWGA.
Membership benefits include the opportunity to participate in the Open Days program, our tournament program, and Hole-in-One club. Our members also enjoy the benefits of discounts from our sponsors and clubs.
Club memberships of the DWGA consist of golf clubs throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Member clubs are members for the current fiscal year, and have a 18-hole golf course with a USGA rating and slope for women.
Member clubs must host a DWGA managed tournament at least once every three (3) years or when requested by the Executive Board.
Participation in the Open Day program is not mandatory, however, Individual Members of non-participating clubs are also NOT ELIGIBLE individually to participate in the Open Days program either.
A Member club must be licensed by the USGA to issue USGA handicap indexes. All scoring records should be accessible for on-line review by the DWGA Tournament Committee. This is best done by using handicap computation systems that are authorized by the Delaware State Golf Association, Maryland State Golf Association or the Golf Association of Philadelphia. If scoring records are not available on-line it is the responsibility of the member club to provide scoring records for their members after each handicap revision cycle. If scoring records have not been transmitted to the DWGA office, those members will not be eligible to participate in DWGA competitions.
