The DWGA tries to reach all golfers of varying ability through our tournament and open days programs.

Tournament Program

The DWGA Tournament Program currently consists of 6 fun events, and 3 major championships.

  • Our fun events are team tournaments with a 2-person or 4-person team, playing a range of formats. All tournaments are flighted based on team handicaps, and gross and net prizes are awarded within flights.
  • Our major championships are the Junior Girls Championship, Amateur Championship and the Senior Championship. Each major has a handicap criteria for eligibility.

Open Days

The DWGA Open Days Program allows members of participating clubs to play other participating courses on specified days for cart fees. Nearly all DWGA member clubs participate in this program, which runs from April through October. There are approximately 200 available Open Days! The clubs offer tee times in groups of 4, and there is no formal competition on these days. This program is great for our members that are new to the game, and want to get out and play a round of golf.
