About Us

Founded in 1962, with the mission to promote interest in amateur golf for women and junior girls in the State of Delaware and surrounding areas by:

  1. Sponsoring the Delaware Women's Amateur, Junior and Senior Championships

  2. Educating through workshops and seminars

To promote, inform and enforce the USGA Rules of Golf and the USGA Handicap System, and to determine and issue course and slope ratings in accordance with USGA approved procedures.

Membership
Club memberships of the DWGA consist of golf clubs throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Individual membership consist of women, at least 18 years of age, who are members of DWGA member clubs and who have registered as a member of the DWGA.
Membership benefits include the opportunity to particiapte in the Open Days program, and our tournament program.
