The USGA conducts the USGA Women’s State Team Championship on a biennial basis. It is open to teams of three players from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Eighteen holes of stroke play are conducted over three days, with the two lowest scores of the three individuals counting as the team’s score for the round. The field is then cut to the top 21 teams following Friday’s round.
Three DWGA women will have the opportunity to participate in this national championship while representing their home state of Delaware in 2017! The DWGA provides financial support to the team to ease the burden of travel costs. This year’s championship will take place on September 26-28 at The Club at Las Campanas in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
